This feature allows the attendant or PMS to set Do Not Disturb (DND) for a room or suite. DND stops internal calls from ringing a guest's telephone and returns busy tone to the caller; it does not affect the guest's ability to make calls nor does it stop external calls from ringing.
DND (and all other Guest Services functions) cannot be set from a 5540 IP Console in a Clustered Hospitality environment.
If a wake-up call is programmed for a room or suite, it will ring even if DND is enabled (i.e. wake-ups take precedence over DND).
Enable "Do Not Disturb" on the guest room extensions that require this feature. For suites, enable the COS option on the primary suite extension.
Enable "Enable Do Not Disturb - Access to Remote Phones" on the attendant consoles.
NOTE: The room or suite's current DND status appears on the Guest Services Application (GSA) within the attendant console.
To set DND on a room extension:
Enter Guest service mode.
Type the room extension number.
Press the ENTER softkey.
Press the MORE softkey.
Press the NO DISTURB softkey repeatedly until the desired DND status is displayed (DND or NO DND).
NOTE: The NO DISTURB softkey is available only if COS option "Enable Do Not Disturb - Access to Remote Phones" is enabled.
Press the EXIT softkey.
To set DND on a room extension:
Select Guest Service.
Use the computer keyboard to type the room number in the Room Number box (not necessary if you are already on a call to the room).
Select Search.
In the DND list, select On to enable the feature or Off (the default value) to disable it.
NOTE: The DND list is available only if COS option "Enable Do Not Disturb - Access to Remote Phones" is enabled.
Press Save to save the changes.
